Safety Harbor, FL – The City Commission of Safety Harbor voted unanimously to become Florida’s ninth city to adopt a resolution setting a 100 percent clean, renewable energy community-wide goal, committing the City to plan for the complete elimination of all fossil fuels in the electricity sector by 2035 for municipal operations and 2050 community-wide. The resolution creates an inclusive community planning process to guide a transition for both municipal operations as well as the entire community.

On June 3, the State College Borough Council voted unanimously to adopt a resolution establishing a goal of 100 percent clean, renewable energy no later than 2050.

Athens, GA -- Tonight, the Athens-Clarke County (ACC) Commission unanimously voted to adopt a community wide goal of 100 percent clean and renewable electricity by 2035.

FRISCO, Colo. - On Tuesday, May 14, the Frisco Town Council unanimously voted to approve a resolution committing the community to shift away from fossil fuels and transition to 100 percent clean, renewable electricity by 2035. The resolution can be found here.

SEATTLE, WA—Today, Senate Bill 5116 was signed into law in Washington by Governor Jay Inslee after passing the state legislature earlier this month. This bill cuts out coal power by 2025 and requires an equitable transition to 100 percent clean electricity for the entire state by 2045.

SOUTH MIAMI, FL -- Today, the City Commission of South Miami unanimously passed a resolution committing the city to transition to 100 percent clean, renewable energy community-wide by 2040. South Miami becomes the first city in south Florida and the eighth city in the state to commit to powering itself with 100 percent clean, renewable sources of energy, like solar and storage.

OLYMPIA, WA—Today, the Washington State legislature officially passed Senate Bill 5116, a bill that mandates an equitable transition to 100 percent clean electricity generation for the entire state by 2045.

CARSON CITY, NV—Today, with a unanimous Assembly vote, the Nevada state legislature passed Senate Bill 358, a bill that ensures electricity providers meet of 50 percent of customer needs with renewable electricity statewide by 2030 and 100 percent clean energy by 2050. The bill, first introduced in March, unanimously passed the state Senate earlier this week. It now heads to the desk of Governor Steve Sisolak to be signed into law.
